Overview
Most people live hours from the nearest ski field, making snow sports expensive, time-consuming, and out of reach for many Australians.
Snowtunnel Parks was founded to change that. The Melbourne company is developing a world-first rotating Snowtunnel that delivers an endless real-snow skiing and snowboarding experience in city locations. By making snow sports more accessible, reliable, and sustainable, the company aims to unlock the magic of snow for millions of people who might never otherwise experience it.
Engineering a world-first
Turning that vision into reality requires years of intensive research and development. From engineering a 12.5-metre rotating Snowtunnel to developing the technologies that create an authentic alpine experience, Snowtunnel Parks is pushing the boundaries of engineering while investing heavily ahead of commercialisation.
By working with Radium Capital to bring forward its expected R&D Tax Incentive refund, Snowtunnel Parks is able to access funding earlier, maintain steady cash flow, and keep its innovation program moving. As the business has grown, Radium Advances have also become an important part of its broader capital strategy, complementing equity and crowdfunding to help maximise every funding source.
For Snowtunnel Parks CEO and Co-founder Scott Kessler, building the right capital mix is about making every dollar work harder: “We have to achieve our milestones in the most capital-efficient way. That means either raising capital all the time, or using the right mechanisms like R&DTI finance.”
Today, Snowtunnel Parks continues to build Radium Advances into its capital strategy, helping the company maintain momentum through intensive development and move closer to bringing its world-first snow experience to cities around the world.
