Overview
Streamwise D.I.™ is transforming wastewater management with AI and automation. By delivering evidence-based decision intelligence and enhanced automation, this helps suppliers boost wastewater treatment plant efficiencies and lower costs. Streamwise D.I.’s edge device and platform provide 24/7 real time monitoring and insights for wastewater treatment plant operations, helping to reduce the costs of expensive repairs, outages and the amount of chemicals used during wastewater treatment.
Pandemic pressure
Whenever Covid-19 lockdowns were invoked, Streamwise D.I.’s team had difficulty accessing wastewater treatment facilities both to demonstrate and to install its smart technology. The innovator had to find a way of ensuring it could meet client needs during the pandemic and keep its growth on track. CEO Alastair Lockey details “We needed to respond to COVID by refining our technology so clients could install the Streamwise device themselves, connect it to their existing hardware and receive support from our team remotely”.
Pivoting into opportunities
Streamwise D.I. needed extra cash flow to complete this essential and urgent R&D. The business was searching for solutions when its tax advisor suggested R&D financing with Radium Capital. “We were already claiming the R&D Tax Incentive so accessing our R&D refund early with a Radium Advance was the perfect solution – and it was fast, easy and cost-effective too, ” Alastair Lockey explains.
Radium Advances provided the bridging capital to solve Streamwise D.I.’s cash-flow gap. Leveraging the cost and time efficiencies of multiple advances created cost and time savings, whilst enabling sufficient enough cash flow to make its device capable of being self-assembled by it’s clients and supported remotely by the Streamwise D.I. team.
